A hearty Thanks!! to all who came to the Friday January 18 show. It was obvious in some faces, that many of you haven’t heard the Classic jazz tunes sung live in a long time (or not nearly enough!)
Now, there are some awesome jazz trios and other pro jazz groups out there! But very few of them include a solid singer (or even ANY singer). And so all those beautifully crafted lyrics by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Billie Holiday, Johnny Mercer and others are lost! Amongst my other projects, we’ll continue to work this Jazz Trio concept (vocals, piano and string bass).
